I would wish for a resurgence of ethical conduct within our political process. Also, I would like to have the staff (and City Council) realize that we are not the enemy or an inconvenience.

i am tired of a belligerent reaction or the deer-caught-in-the-headlights look when attempting to conduct normal business.

First and foremost I would love to see a real movement towards unification as a community. The political process is intended to be an equitable way to resolve issues for the betterment of the whole...not a divisive manipulation that benefits the few. I believe deep down as a community we have the same goals: a healthy, peaceful, safe, prosperous community. A place to raise children, a place for adults to come together to teach and model unity and a place to grow old to watch this legacy go on. If we know these things to be true then the decisions ahead of us will become easier...

I would like to see people be fairer to others and speak out of one side of their mouths and not both. It would be gratifying to see the McCoy property issue settled and new families allowed to move in so that we can keep our school, and for the slamming to stop about the Fire Chief and appreciate what he's achieving for our community and it's volunteers. I wish for a calmer year in that people won't group together stating that "they're the voice of the people" when out of 611 registered voters, only a little over 200 supported their cause. Granted, fewer opposed them but either way, we need more people to vote so that there is a fair representation across the board. I feel that we are off to a positive start with the new Mayor in that he is asking for accountability on all levels from all people and keeps the rhetoric to a minimum. Makes it much easier to follow the facts.
